Our counselors are graduate and undergraduate students from across the country, training to be psychologists, physicians, educators, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, nurses, etc. Applicants should have some introductory college coursework in a related field (e.g. psychology, education, medicine). Our summer treatment program provides an incredible opportunity to learn evidence-based practices hands on, working directly with children with developmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and related neurodevelopmental profiles.

The internship includes 2 weeks of intensive training ranging from didactic sessions to thorough practice of program components. Essential topics span etiology of neurodevelopmental disabilities, applied behavior analysis, pivotal response treatment, data-based outcome monitoring, and social skills training. A 5-week intervention program follows, where you will work in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team including consulting physicians, licensed psychologists, board certified behavior analysts, and other professionals.

3) Two letters of reference from individuals not related to you that can speak to your experience and potential to contribute to our program. Ideally, at least one letter should attest to your work with children.
